CONNECT-AME, an opportunity that transformed my life
For those of you who don't know me outside of my professional life, I'm the mother of three wonderful children: Valeria, 11; Kilian, 9; and Noah, 4. Noah has SMA – Spinal Muscular Atrophy. It's a tough disease that changes lives, not only his but also those of everyone around him. For Chico, my husband, and me, caring for him, Valeria, and Kilian is our greatest mission, but also an immense challenge that, as with many families, has meant making many sacrifices.
You can imagine the emotional rollercoaster we experienced since Noah was diagnosed, and how I had to put my professional life aside to dedicate myself 24/7 to him and his care.
Ringana came into my life at a stable time, when, after a long struggle to find a school nurse, Noah started attending school like any other child his age. Those five hours he spent in excellent hands with his adoring classmates allowed me to get my life back on track (both professionally and personally).
And it was with Ringana, with a very beautiful purpose: to help all the moms who, like me, had had to stop working to take care of their dependent children, and to donate the sales commissions to FundAME, the foundation that researches Muscular Atrophy in Spain.
After 4 years of exclusive dedication to the one who is undoubtedly the king of the house, now it is time to reinvent myself, to reconnect and to become the woman I was before that fateful diagnosis.

During these wonderful days, we raised a staggering €4,915 for FundAME, and after another week of donations, we reached €6,236! See the event news here.
What is ConectAME?
ConectAME will allow me to be all that again, just like many other moms and dads in similar situations.
ConectAME is a project that brings together three very powerful things:
Health and sustainability,
Raising awareness about SMA
I support other mothers who have lost their economic independence by caring for a child with a disability.
And how are we going to do it?
Thanks to the platform provided by Ringana
How does it work?
Through ConectAME:
All sales commissions will go to FUNDAME, the foundation that fights every day to raise awareness of this disease and to improve the lives of children like Noah, funding research for a much-desired possible cure for the disease in the future.
We're also going to create a solidarity fund to help mothers who, like me, have had to leave their jobs to care for their children. This fund will allow them to start their own business with RINGANA and regain financial independence, from home, at their own pace, but without giving up on their dreams. The idea is that in the future, Ringana will offer annual bonuses that these mothers can use for therapies, orthotics, or healthcare for their children—things that are so expensive for a family without income.
